How to find us

Castle Mountain Chalets is conveniently located midway between Banff and Lake Louise on the corner of the Bow Valley Parkway 1A and Highway 93 South at Castle Junction. We are open year-round and accessible by car.

Directions from BC

From Golden take the TransCanada Highway (Hwy 1) east through Yoho National Park into Alberta. Continue on Hwy 1 past Lake Louise to Hwy 93 South exit (about 27 km). Turn left and the top of the exit. You will drive over a bridge and train tracks before finding Castle Mountain Chalets on your left.

From Radium Hot Springs head north on Hwy 93 South through Kootenay National Park about 106 km to Castle Junction 1A. Castle Mountain Chalets will be on your left hand side.

Directions from Calgary

From Calgary International Airport Head west on Airport Rd. NE (95m). Slight right to stay on Airport Rd. NE (1.3km). Continue onto Barlow Trail NE N (650m). Turn left onto 96 Ave. NE/Airport Trail NE W (1.9km). Merge onto Deerfoot Trail/AB-2 N via the ramp to Deerfoot Trail. Continue to follow AB-2 N (3.8km). Take exit 271 for Alberta 201 W/Stoney Trail (2.8km). Merge onto Stoney Trail NW/AB-201 W (21.8km). Take exit 36 got AB-1 W/Trans Canada Hwy. W toward 16 Ave N/Banff. Merge onto AB-1 W/Trans Canada Hwy. (141km). Take the AB-93 S exit toward Radium Hot Springs (280m). Turn right, drive over a bridge and train tracks and Castle Mountain Chalets is locted on the left hand side (1km).

Directions from Edmonton

From Edmonton International Airport take Queen Elizabeth II Hwy (formerly Hwy 2) south to Calgary, then west on Hwy 1 to Banff. You can bypass Calgary’s traffic, by taking Stoney Trail Ring Road West to Hwy 1. Take Hwy 1 West passing through Banff, and continue to Hwy 93 South. Turn right at the stop sign and travel approximately 1 km to Castle Mountain Chalets.
